Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], [COMPANY NUMBER], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS], trading as Index-now. By creating an account you accept them.
2. What the service does
Index-now discovers URLs on domains you have added and verified, detects which are new or changed, and submits them to the IndexNow API, which forwards them to participating search engines.
3. What the service explicitly does not do
This matters, so it is stated plainly:
- Submitting a URL to IndexNow does not guarantee that a search engine will crawl or index it. That decision belongs entirely to the search engine.
- IndexNow is not a ranking factor. We make no representation that using this service will improve your search rankings or traffic.
- Google does not currently participate in IndexNow. This service has no effect on Google indexing.
- We do not control the availability or behaviour of the IndexNow API or any search engine, and cannot be responsible for their outages, policy changes or decisions.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must own or be authorised to manage every domain you add. Adding a domain you do not control is a breach of these terms and we will terminate your account for it.
- You must keep the IndexNow key file in place. If you remove it, submissions will fail and that is not a service fault.
- You must not use the service to submit URLs for spam, malware, phishing or illegal content, or in any way that violates a search engine's terms.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and per-domain API tokens secure.
5. Fair use
Each domain may submit up to [DAILY CAP] URLs per rolling 24 hours. This limit exists to protect you: exceeding what the protocol expects can get your host rate limited by search engines. If you have a legitimate need for more, contact us.
6. Fees, renewal and refunds
- The fee is $12 per domain per year, charged in advance.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. We email you 30, 7 and 1 days before each renewal.
- You may cancel at any time. Service continues to the end of the paid period; we do not pro-rate part-years except under the guarantee below.
- 14-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied within 14 days of a domain's first payment, email us and we will refund it in full.
7. Suspension
We may suspend a domain or account without refund if it is used for prohibited content, if you add a domain you do not control, if payment fails beyond the grace period, or if usage threatens the stability of the service or our standing with search engines.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee at this price point. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where practical. Submissions delayed by an outage are queued and sent when service resumes.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost traffic, lost rankings or lost revenue.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Trade mark notice
IndexNow is an open protocol operated by Microsoft and Yandex. Index-now is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the IndexNow project, Microsoft, Yandex or any search engine.
